Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• Regular for ADHD: Daily Self-Maintenance ("Regular"), an app designed to help you manage recurring daily self-maintenance and regulation.
• Upkeep for ADHD: Recurring Life Maintenance ("Upkeep"), an app designed to help you manage recurring household, personal and life-maintenance activities.

Together, we refer to them as "Regular & Upkeep."

Regular & Upkeep are designed around a simple principle: the everyday things that keep you and your life maintained should be easier to remember and do. This Privacy Policy explains what information the apps use, why it is used, and the choices you have about your information.

1. Who operates Regular & Upkeep?

Regular & Upkeep are operated by Valerie Oyiki ("we", "us" or "our").

2. Information Regular & Upkeep use

Regular & Upkeep are designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible. Depending on how you use the apps, information may include:

Information you add

This can include:

• sessions you create
• session names and times
• activities, tasks or checklist items you add
• completion information
• preferences and settings
• links or other content you choose to attach

You control what you choose to enter.

Because Regular may be used for things such as medication reminders and other personal self-maintenance activities, some information you choose to enter may reveal information about your health. You are not required to provide medical or diagnostic information to use Regular or Upkeep.

Calendar information

Regular & Upkeep can connect with your calendar so that your self-maintenance and life-maintenance sessions appear alongside the rest of your day. If you choose to enable calendar access, the apps use the access necessary to create, update and manage calendar events associated with your Regular or Upkeep sessions. We do not use your calendar information for advertising.

Email address

Regular & Upkeep do not require an account for basic use on a single device. If you choose to sync your data across devices, or to connect Google Calendar, we ask for your email address so we can send you a one-time sign-in code. Your email is used only to identify your account and keep your data in sync. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Notification information

If you turn on notifications, we store a device identifier needed to deliver them, along with your timezone so reminders arrive at the right local time. This information is used only to send the reminders you've asked for.

3. How we use information

We use information only where necessary to provide and improve Regular & Upkeep, including to:

• provide the features you choose to use
• display and manage your sessions
• create and manage calendar events where you enable calendar integration
• send reminders and notifications you have enabled
• remember your settings and preferences
• maintain the security and reliability of the apps
• diagnose bugs and technical problems
• understand and improve how the apps work

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use information about your self-maintenance, household activities or other Regular & Upkeep activity for targeted advertising.

We do not use your information to make decisions about employment, insurance, healthcare, credit or other similarly significant matters.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where UK data protection law applies, we process personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the information and feature involved, this may include:

• Contract: where processing is necessary to provide a feature or service you have requested
• Consent: where you have actively chosen to grant access or provide information for an optional feature
• Legitimate interests: where necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve Regular & Upkeep, provided those interests do not override your rights

Where information you voluntarily enter constitutes special category data, such as health information, we will only process it where an appropriate legal basis and condition under applicable data protection law applies.

5. Calendar access

Calendar integration is optional.

If you give Regular or Upkeep permission to access your calendar, the relevant app uses that permission to provide the calendar features you request. You can revoke calendar access through your device or calendar settings. If you remove access, calendar-dependent features may stop working.

Events already written to an external calendar may remain there until you remove them from that calendar.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, Regular & Upkeep use them to remind you when a session is due, or to provide other app-related reminders you request. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

7. Third-party services

Regular & Upkeep rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate:

• Supabase — our database and sign-in provider, used to store your account and app data securely and keep it synced across devices.
• Google Calendar — used only if you choose to connect your calendar, to create and manage the events described above.
• Resend — used to send the one-time sign-in code email, if you choose to sync your data.
• Vercel — our web hosting provider, used to serve the apps to your browser.

Where a third party processes personal information on our behalf, we require appropriate protections for that information. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to use information about your Regular or Upkeep activities for targeted advertising.

8. Payments

If you purchase Regular or Upkeep through Apple's App Store, payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple's processing of your information is governed by Apple's own privacy terms.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing the apps, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes and maintaining security.

Information you enter is stored in our database for as long as you have an account, or until you ask us to delete it. Information stored only on your device remains there until you delete it, remove the relevant app, or otherwise clear that information, subject to your device's own backup and storage settings.

10. Deleting your information

You can delete information you have created in Regular & Upkeep using the controls available within the apps where applicable. You can also contact us at voyiki@gmail.com to request deletion of personal information we hold about you.

Deleting Regular or Upkeep does not necessarily delete information held independently by third parties, such as events already written to your external calendar. You may need to remove those through the relevant service.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you
• request a copy of your information
• correct inaccurate information
• request deletion
• restrict certain processing
• object to certain processing
• request portability of certain information
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

If you are in the UK and believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

12. International data transfers

Some service providers used to operate Regular & Upkeep, such as our database and hosting providers, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on those providers' own data protection safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, as required by applicable law.

13. Children's privacy

Regular & Upkeep are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information in circumstances where they should not have done so, please contact us.

14. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Regular & Upkeep develop, or where legal or technical requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this policy and provide additional notice where appropriate.
